Ivan Eduardo Velasco, a native of Houston, Texas, cultivated his passion for the fine arts from a young age. Pursuing his academic journey, Ivan attended the University of Houston and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education as a percussionist. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic sparked a transformative period for Ivan, during which he discovered a newfound passion for fashion design. Seeking to expand his skills, he sought mentorship, initially aiming to specialize in men’s tailoring.

However, fate intervened during an unexpected interview, guiding Ivan to seize an opportunity at a bridal alteration studio. Embracing the challenge, he dedicated himself to mastering the intricate craft of women’s bridal wear . Motivated by this transformative experience, Ivan committed to expanding his knowledge of fashion design and enrolled to The HCC School of Fashion Design.

During his schooling, Ivan dreamed of founding his own fashion house. His motivation extended beyond clothing people stylishly; he aimed to cultivate confidence in them. This aspiration culminated into “The Vie”—a name derived from Ivan's initials (I.E.V) and the French word for "life.

Currently pursuing further education, Ivan remains devoted to mastering the timeless craft of fashion design, striving to inspire and elevate lives worldwide.
