Dancing Through The Performance

Life is guaranteed to bring times of uncertainty. These moments magnify who we truly are. The easiest route to pursue during these dark periods is to shy away from situations that may scare, test or demand more of us. Though this method may feel safer (and easier), it tends to do much harm to your goals, growth, and to those around you.

Perhaps these dark periods would not last as long if we were to pursue them head on and go through them with style and grace rather than with superfluous amounts of self pity and doubt.

The hardest thing to witness is someone shying away from their true potential solely because they are afraid of the unknown. Shying away from true potential does not prove it is impossible to handle the goals or aspirations set upon someone. But rather the fear of the unknown of how truly great one can become and the shame of then understanding how easy success truly was. This is where fear comforts its residency.

The forest of uncertainty is dark…

But so is the stage of the top performances in the world. When the performance is about to begin, and the the auditorium turns pitch black for the performer, the audience disappears, and the spotlight is on you.

Dance through the period of your uncertainty. If you hit something along the way, then recourse the choreography, but do not stop enjoying the beauty of the performance, the dance that is your life and course of growth. The dark period are only temporary, and so is the magic of a magnificent performance.

Eventually the lights will come back up, and the performance will be over. There will be a crowd erupting with cheer and you would have made it through.

The question is, during that period of darkness, will you give a grand performance? Of elegance, beauty, grace and grandeur? Even when you cannot see that which is right in front of you?

Because the truth is, no dark period lasts forever, but how you composed yourself during that brief period determines history.
